Miles B. Norman is a photojournalist living near Akron, Ohio. He has 10 year of daily newspaper experience, including five years as a staff photographer for the Star-Gazette in Elmira, New York. Previously, he worked at the Argus-Press in Owosso, Michigan. His work has earned numerous awards, been carried nationally by the Associated Press and appeared in major newspapers including USA Today and the New York Times. His high personal standards and photojournalistic style are evident throughout his work.Miles was introduced to photography at a young age by his father who took thousands of family and vacation pictures. His interest in photojournalism was nurtured as a teenager by older brother, Curt Norman, a news, wedding and portrait photographer, who was generous in sharing his equipment as well as photography and darkroom experience.Miles learned his trade at a time when professional quality work was dependent on craftmanship and a thorough knowledge of photographic processes. Miles is a native of Akron. He has worked as a full-time professional photographer since graduating from the University of Akron in 1987 with a B.S. in Production Management.
